{"id":898,"date":"2026-10-08T15:51:42","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T14:51:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jfracingevents.com\/?p=898"},"modified":"2026-10-08T15:53:16","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T14:53:16","slug":"thank-you-mike-conway-toyota-racing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jfracingevents.com\/fr\/thank-you-mike-conway-toyota-racing\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank You, Mike!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are some announcements you know will inevitably come one day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But somehow, you&#8217;re never really prepared for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though Mike told me a little while ago, this one still hits me particularly hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve always considered the drivers as <strong>\u201cmy\u201d kids<\/strong>, and I&#8217;ve always tried to do absolutely everything I could for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So when one of them announces that it&#8217;s time to stop, it always gets to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was the same with Alex, Anthony, Nico, St\u00e9phane and Kazuki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mike made his Toyota Racing debut in Austin in 2014. It was September 20th, and I still remember the rain coming down like I&#8217;d rarely seen before. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiawec.com\/en\/news\/mike-conway-set-for-toyota-racing-debut-in-usa\/2197?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">FIAWEC<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An incredible competitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes quiet, often away from the spotlight, but absolutely relentless whenever it was time to dig deep and fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And how could I not mention his kindness, his humour and his simplicity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That ability to always remain himself, whatever the circumstances, in a world where that isn&#8217;t always as easy as people might think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know Le Mans broke his heart more than once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s why I am so happy that, after 2021, he was able to put his name on that famous winners&#8217; list once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you, Mike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you for the emotions, the victories, the tough times, the laughs and for all those precious moments that nobody ever photographed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ones that are probably the most precious of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enjoy the next chapter, mate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But before that\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>bring home another Drivers&#8217; World Championship title!<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some announcements are inevitable, but that doesn&#8217;t make them any easier.
