2007. Le Mans. Courage.

My last Le Mans with Courage. And already my 14th participation to the legendary race.

Looking back at this photo, I realise just how much history was already behind me at that time.

The years spent around endurance racing had brought me to so many different circuits, teams, cars and people. But Le Mans was always different. The atmosphere, the pressure, the expectations and the emotions make it impossible to experience the race like any other event.

I could probably write a complete book about this one.

There were great moments, unforgettable memories, friendships and plenty of reasons to smile. But there were also difficult moments, disappointments and memories that are perhaps better left between those who were there.

That’s also what makes Le Mans so special.

Every edition leaves something behind.

In 2007, I didn’t know it would be my last Le Mans with Courage. I simply knew I was living another chapter of a story that had already begun many years before.

And today, almost twenty years later, the memories are still there.

Some good. Some bad. All part of the story.
