At the beginning of the year, when the TR010 HYBRID was unveiled, many people told me how beautiful they thought this Toyota was.

My answer was always the same: a racing car only becomes beautiful when it wins.

Little did I know back then what kind of season we were about to experience.

What superlative could possibly describe a car that has delivered on so many of its objectives this year?

Some people, often those who don’t know much about motorsport, have repeatedly claimed that Toyota won mainly because it had no real competition.

Well, I think 2026 has finally put that argument to rest.

1. Beat Ferrari on their home ground at Imola. ✅
2. Finish 1st and 3rd at Le Mans. ✅
3. Win at Fuji. ✅
4. Secure the World Manufacturers’ Championship. ✅

And what a way to do it!

A season built on performance, determination, teamwork and the ability to deliver when it matters most.

From the engineers to the mechanics, from the strategists to the drivers, every single person has played a part in this achievement.

Today, we can proudly say it:

WE ARE EIGHT-TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🏆🍾🇯🇵
