Today is Belgium’s National Day, and it feels like the perfect opportunity to celebrate a country that has always held a special place in my heart.

Motorsport has given me the chance to meet incredible people from all over the world, but Belgium has always felt a little different. Family, friends, unforgettable weekends at Spa-Francorchamps, countless shared memories… and, of course, all those expressions that only Belgians truly understand.

“Oufti”, “drache”, “barakis”, “brol”, “mitraillette”… Every country has its own language beyond the language itself. Those little words instantly bring back smiles, memories and friendships.

So today, here’s wishing all my Belgian family, friends, colleagues and motorsport companions a wonderful National Day.
